Almost a quarter of Waste Electronic & Electrical Equipment (WEEE) taken to household waste recycling centres (HWRC) can be reused or repaired according to new research by the Waste Resources and Action Plan (WRAP).  A potential value of £220 million pounds could be realised from this process according to the report titled - Realising the Reuse Value of Household WEEE.

Consumers who were polled as part of the research stated that one of the most common reasons for disposing of the items was that it was assumed it would be cheaper to replace items rather than repair.
