CCL North is celebrating graduation from the Net Zero Nation Accelerator, and we’re proud to have been awarded a Foundation Certificate after completing the first year of the programme – and that’s just the start!

We’re proud to be part of the first cohort of businesses on the programme which is funded by North Ayrshire Council, delivered by Ailsa Reliability Solutions and supported by Scottish Enterprise.

Based in Irvine, CCL has a long-standing commitment to sustainability and reducing emissions, including having a full time Net Zero specialist working as part of the team.

CCL Net Zero specialist April Brown (pictured) said: “A massive thank you to everyone at Net Zero for supporting CCL create its carbon reduction plan! What a great experience it has been from start to finish. CCL is ready to join the fight against climate change.”

The Year 1 Foundation certificate was presented to CCL as part of the first cohort of businesses graduating in North Ayrshire. The award recognises the work done by companies in codifying their commitment to embed sustainability and placing Net Zero solutions at the heart of what they do.

This award means CCL joins a fast-growing network of Net Zero-oriented businesses across Ayrshire and Scotland. In year one of the accelerator programme, we demonstrated a clearly defined pathway to reduce greenhouse gas emissions aligned with science-based targets helping to prevent the worst effects of climate change.

Celebrating the award, a spokesperson for Net Zero Nation said: “We're excited to work with every member as we all further our ambitions and sustainably super-charge businesses across Scotland. Congratulations all for your immense work moving towards your climate ambitions - we can't wait to join you in year two!”

CCL (North) is based in Irvine, is part of the Optimum Eco Group, Scotland’s leading recycler of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
