We are delighted to welcome Jim Brown as our new Commercial Director as he joins Optimum Eco Group.
Jim joins the Group with a wealth of experience, having worked in the resource, recycling and environmental services industry for over three decades.
Speaking about his new role, Jim said: “I look forward to raising the profile of the Group and engaging with new colleagues, clients and partners to share the excellent story of the innovative solutions that Optimum Eco Group are providing to work within the Circular Economy for the reuse, repair and recycling of all types of electronic and electrical equipment”.
Jim also plays a key role in leading industry bodies including as Chair of the SWITCH (Scottish Waste Industry Training, Competency, Health & Safety) Forum. The aim of the multi-partnership Forum is to provide leadership by working collaboratively to raise standards of health and safety, training, learning and development, and technical competence and to promote the Scottish resource management industry as an attractive career choice. He also sits on the management committee of RMAS (Resource Management Association Scotland) a not-for-profit, non-political membership organisation for micro, small and medium sized resource management companies operating in Scotland.
Optimum Eco Group Managing Director, Jim McNulty, added that he is very excited at the new addition to the team, adding: “Having previously worked with Jim I know that he will be an excellent and valued member to the team with industry experience in the resource sector”.
Jim Brown’s appointment marks the continued expansion of Optimum Eco Group, which now employs more than 110 staff in Irvine across its two sites, encompassing CCL (North), an industry-leading IT & WEEE refurbishing and recycling business focussing on secure data destruction, and Restructa, specialists in refurbishing and recycling TVs, computer monitors and display products.
